Free Early Years Entitlement
All eligible 3 and 4 year olds have a statutory right to a total of 15 hours of free nursery/pre-school sessions per week. Children are eligible for this free entitlement in the term after their 3rd birthday until they start school. Parents will be given forms to complete each term, which allows the setting to claim the funding for the free sessions.
Parents who are not eligible for funding or choose to claim it from another setting, will be invoiced for pre-school sessions on a termly basis. Charges for these pre-school sessions are set at the same rate as the current Early Years Entitlement.
Links with St. Bede’s School
We work closely with St. Bede’s Primary School, making important links and enjoying activities each term with children in the Reception class. These shared activities help to develop confidence and support all children at Woodlands Pre-School in their learning and development within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
