“Don’t just buy a new video game, make one …
Don’t just play on your phone, program it.”

At St Bede’s Computing is taught in a weekly lesson and is used throughout the curriculum to enable children to explore, observe and make exciting discoveries in our ever-changing digital world. Children are encouraged to use their imagination to create games, blogs, videos, and presentations.
The computing curriculum is based on the three main areas of the National Curriculum of Computing Science, Information Technology and Digital Citizenship. Pupils are equipped with the skills to design, code and test programs; understand and communicate in a digital world and use technology safely and respectfully. KS2 children have the opportunity to attend an after school enrichment club. Online safety is taught explicitly and also embedded within all our use of technology throughout the curriculum and our Year 6 Digital Leaders help to promote and support the safe use of technology across school.
