Year 2
A warm welcome to year 2!
READING BOOKS
Reading books will be changed on a Friday, please bring book bags in every day with reading books and reading records.
MORNING DROP OFF
At 8:45 am, with children expected to be in class working by 8:55 am.
PICK UP AT THE END OF THE DAY – 3.25 pm
Please do inform a member of staff on the door in the morning or the office if you child is being collected by somebody different. For safeguarding reasons we can not allow your child to go home with someone else unless we have had permission from parents/guardians.
UNIFORM:
Children should come to school in full uniform. For details, please visit the 'Parents' tab of the website and look at the 'uniform shop' - 'school uniform guide'. It is essential that ALL uniform is named as we will be unable to rummage through the lost property at this time. Summer uniform can still be worn in Autumn 1.
WHAT TO BRING INTO SCHOOL:
Water bottle - filled with clean water each day.
Coat or hat/cap (depending on the weather) which must be named.
You may also bring the following, if you wish:
A healthy snack for play time. However, free fruit will be available for our children at morning break as usual. No chocolate or anything that contains nuts, please.
A packed lunch in a lunchbox, if your child is not having a school meal. Please note that Year 2 children are all entitled to a free school meal.
Reading books and reading journals-even if they do not need changing.
PE KIT:
Children will continue to come into school in their PE kits. This half term our PE days are TUESDAY and FRIDAY.
On PE days the children will need to come to school dressed in their white PE t-shirt (with school logo or a plain t-shirt), black shorts, socks and trainers. They may also wear a plain, dark coloured tracksuit. (The T-shirt will be needed every week but the wearing of trousers or shorts will depend on the comfort of your child and the weather).
If you have any questions, please get in touch with the school via email or catch us on the door at the end of the day.
